Stripping them down to their most essentials, Arno Schuitemaker creates his highly physical and rigorously conceptual performances by using the body, movement, music, light and space as his enabling elements. Each performance shapes a unique empathetic relationship between the audience and the performers. Shedding new lights on notions as rhythm and endurance, his works are immersive, visceral and mesmerizing.

Arno Schuitemaker’s creations, including acclaimed works such as The Fifteen Project| DUET, WHILE WE STRIVE, Together_till the end and I will wait for you, have been presented at renowned contemporary dance festivals and theaters in over 15 countries across Europe, and beyond.

Both Dance Europe and Tanz magazine have mentioned Arno Schuitemaker as being “one of the leading dance makers in The Netherlands.” He is a winner of the Dioraphte Encouragement Award, was selected for the Aerowaves Priority List and by the European Dancehouse Network as a modul-dance artist.
